The Sac-SF TSCA chapter had their annual Wet Turkey Row at a different location this year, launching from Brannan Island Rec Area and rowing over to the dock at Decker Island for lunch.
The green wiggly bit is me trying to sail with no wind after the row -- I just drifted up the slough with the strong flood tide.

The lumpy water is all tide and currents, no wind. We have rowed out of the slough and into the main channel of the Sacramento just downstream from Rio Vista. Jim and Sunny's Redwing is off to port, keeping an eye on Ed Foster (her builder) rowing another of his boats in the center.

The smaller boats pulled up on the shore, larger boats tied up to the dock.

Here is the Geiger's Mother Ship with Bill Doll's faering in front.

The north part of the island is closed by the Park Service, but the south end is open, with a lovely dock and some old earth-moving equipment - and a squashed car.
