Northern California Pirate Festival 6/10

My reenactor friends (mostly Morgan's Companie from Eureka) and I had a wonderful time at the 2009 Northern California Pirate Festival in Vallejo. We got to be the Bad Guys again, threatening to hang pirates, arresting same for trials in front of Government House, firing the largest two cannons at the event, and doing our press gang routing all over the place.(photos by me, Laura, John & Pia and others)

Hayden Brown and his Aldebaran Pryate Crew provided a good target for rolling volleys as she sailed past and fired her guns.

We burned through just a bit o' powder!

The larger cannons of Morgan's Companie from Eureka provided most of the firepower as the shore battery fired at the Aldebaran.

The Carlson sons did a wonderful job as powder monkeys.

Here's a number of reasons why we enjoy the event.
